English summary: In the debate over the use of computer games by children and young people, the angle of media ethics has so far been neglected. Explicit representations of violence in some games provide cause for concern and brings about the question of appropriate moral judgments of the games, its makers, and users. The authors of this volume therefore take particular violent games into view and analyze them in terms of possible risks. Violence is not the only aspect that makes the playing of video, online, and computer games interesting from the perspective of media ethics. Thus the contributors address, among other things, the ethical dimensions of play, the practice of cheating, the changeability of game content, the solicitation of computer games, as well as gender constructs and rating systems in games.
