Some serious, Some not, Some not even that! is the first in a series of books which aims to archive and showcase the writings and work of Glasgow-born artist and scul?tor, George Wyllie MBE in his 90th year. Wyllie is best known for his Straw Locomotive and Paper Boat public art projects. Thousands of people every day pass his Running Clock outside Glasgow's Buchanan Street bus station. Wyllie came to his art late in life after taking early retirement from his job as a customs officer in Greenock, but from the 1970s onwards, his output was prolific. After working with artists such as Joseph Beuys and George Rickey, he developed an imaginative and individual way of connecting with the public through his art.
